I’m making some slight changes to my web hosting billing. If I am managing your domain name registration as well as web hosting, I’ll be aligning your annual web hosting to become due at the same time as your domain name registration - this way they are in alignment with each other and it serves as an extra reminder for me should I lose track of the billing. To me it just makes sense to have them occurring at the same time. If you are paying monthly or quarterly, then you needn’t worry as this will remain as is.

The above was taken from Cpanel’s site about their latest update which was ran on our server last night . Things appear to be running fine but if you come across something you think isn’t right, please do let me know as soon as possible so I can get Andrew to look into it prior to my break.  KMT

If you are using the Wordpress blog software there was an important security upgrade made available.
WordPress 2.2.1 is now available. 2.2.1 is a bug fix release for the 2.2 series. Since 2.2 was released a month ago, the WordPress community has been improving fit-and-finish by identifying and fixing those little bugs that can be so annoying and by fine-tuning some small details. The result is a nicely polished 2.2.1 release.
If you need help updating the upgrade, please get in touch with our office for assistance.
We encourage you also to visit our blog and leave your comments or questions for future posts.

Did you know that cpanel has stats available for you to view? You can log into your control panel and click on the image in the 4th line of icons. It will look similar to the one below.

WS/FTP Stats
Once in click on Awstats and you’ll see a visual display of the stats for your website. You can view previous months or the current month. It will show you your most visited pages, incoming links from other sites, search words used to find you and even the countries your visitors come from. You may even see spikes through the week for days that attract more visitors.
Very helpful if you’re working at promoting your site and finding out what works.

Would you like to create more email addresses for your domain? It’s real easy to do.
Log into your control panel (http://www.domain.com/cpanel/) and click on the Mail icon which is the top left icon.
- Click on Add/Remove/Manage Accounts.
- Click on Add accounts at bottom of screen.
- Add the name or word you want to use in the relevant field.
- Give it a password. If you anticipate a lot of email change the 10 meg quota to unlimited and click on Create.
You’re not quite finished yet! Next you need to go to your email client, e.g. Outlook and set up the new email address. The username is the full email address you have just created and the incoming address is mail.yourdomain.com. Outgoing (SMTP) you can do the same or copy what you have for existing outgoing accounts through your ISP.
There, you’ve just created a new email address for your domain!
